It’s no secret; one of the most powerful tools in my tool belt is networking.
And the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce is a huge part of my networking strategy.
Toowoomba is home to over 16,000 business, 98.6% of which have 19 or less employees (qualifying as small businesses). The Chamber of Commerce is a champion to these small businesses (and the big ones too), helping them to navigate all manner of challenges we face in the course of business. Chamber are hosts to many educational events and opportunities for small businesses in the region to gain the skills and insight needed to grow and succeed and for this I am so grateful.
The Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce board are a diverse group of business owners and people passionate about keeping industry alive in our region. Each of these members have experience in many areas that bring a unique set of skills to the board and ensure a well rounded group who can together achieve the very most for Toowoomba’s businesses.
With small business being the backbone of our region it means that the community needs these businesses to stay alive.
Here are some great ways you can connect with the Chamber and I highly recommend becoming a member if you’re a business owner in the Toowoomba region:
As Toowoomba’s number one branding photographer, Oh Tilly was the natural choice to create the first professional images for the Chamber of Commerce board and what a blast we had. Such an important part of headshot photography is not only getting beautiful light, colours and backgrounds; but capturing a warm expression that shows the true character behind the face so that people feel an emotional connection with you is so important. Oh Tilly specialises in capturing the personality behind a business and the Chamber headshots are an excellent example.
A beautiful thankyou from the Chamber board and the unveiling of the board group photo was an honour for me at the Chamber’s final Business at Dusk event for 2022 and now I can finally share these beautiful images.
